New to life with a dog and feeling overwhelmed? Or are you an experienced dog owner, but the new guy or girl brings challenges you haven’t had to face before?

  • lunging, barking or pulling on leash

  • over the top greetings

  • inability to take that off leash hike

  • new puppy

You know you training doesn’t happen overnight, but you need some help getting there.

Using humane, science-based methods and a customized training plan, we can get you living the life you always envisioned with your dog

Have a lot on your plate already without adding “professional dog trainer?” Our day training programs keep you involved, but leave the heavy lifting to us.

What do you need a teammate for?

  • “Katy is skilled, patient and professional. I am very satisfied with the results of the training and would recommend Katy to someone seeking training for their dog.”

    Ray with Apollo

  • “Katy has been a friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate trainer as we helped our new five-year old dog, Bella, adjust to our home after several traumatic changes in her life. Katy is unwaveringly positive in every interaction with Bella and with us, full of praise and firm in her patience.”

    Carol with Bella

With 20 years experience and a commitment to force free training, Katy helps dog moms and dads love life with their dogs again.

In addition to earning a certification in training and counseling from the Academy for Dog Trainers, Katy brings strong people skills and a warm, approachable style to every client interaction.

Dog training is an unregulated industry; this means anyone can call themselves a dog trainer. Just like having teeth is not sufficient criteria for a dentist, a formal education is also what you should look for in a dog trainer.

And because it’s unregulated, transparency is key. I will never rely on pain or force to effect behavior change. Learning should never hurt.

Are you ready to invest toward a dog who:

Can greet people politely?

Can come along on off leash adventures?

You can enjoy peaceful neighborhood walks with?

You can take to the cafe or brewery?
